Doug, as CEO of the Cody Regional Hospital, was responsible for me accepting the medical oncology position at the Big Horn Basin Cancer Center of the CRH. Beginning with our initial phone conversation, Doug laid out the importance of and his expectations for a successful cancer program. During the formal interview process, Doug was open and honest about the position and its challenges. After my arrival, Doug was very involved in the success of the cancer program, supporting my vision of its development. To ensure my success and at his suggestion, Doug and I would meet to discuss the state and progress of the cancer program; his engagement was paramount to its achievements and continued success.
