Doug McMillan is a proven CEO with 40+ years’ experience as a rural hospital CEO
At age 23, Doug started his first position as CEO at Haxtun Hospital District, Haxtun, Colorado. He has led hospitals in Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming.
After Haxtun, Doug then served as CEO at Community Hospital, Torrington, Wyoming; followed by CEO at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, Glasgow, MT. Doug retired from his position as CEO at Cody Regional Health, Cody, Wyoming after 28 years as CEO.
Doug has served on numerous local, state, and national boards. He was named the Quorum Hospital CEO of the Year and has been named as one of Beckers Healthcare CAH CEOs to know several years. Doug has been blessed to be in positions where he could make a positive difference to others during his career as a hospital CEO.
He started McMillan Health Leadership, LLC, where he could continue to make a positive difference to others using his experience and knowledge learned over the past 40 years.
They have been blessed with three boys who have all pursued careers in the health care industry, along with one daughter-in-law. They have one beautiful 4-year-old granddaughter.
